Howdy Y'all!
Look at the picture below - Harper wants you all to know that she is 14 months old and she is shouting it from the rooftops (or at least from the foyer).
She is still wearing size 18 month clothes, between a size 4 and 5 shoe (up almost two sizes from last month) and a size 4 diaper.
We now have a whooping FOUR teeth, but she doesn't let that stop her - she will eat anything. Some of her favorite foods are mac and cheese, pineapple, bananas and Nilla Wafers. If she sees that yellow box come out, she says cookie!
Harper loves to play hide and seek in the curtains. When we say "where's Harper", she pops her little head out with the cutest smile. However, as you can tell from the picture below, sometimes she isn't the greatest when it comes to hiding.
Luckily, we have been able to hang out with her cousin Ava almost once a month and those girls have a blast together. I love that they are so close in age and I hope she gets to see Ava more and more often.
We transitioned to a straw sippy cup this month! Every night, I would put some milk in the straw sippy cup and the first time she tried to drink from it, she tried to sip, didn't get anything, looked at it, threw it on the ground and cried. She just didn't understand why she couldn't get any liquid from it. After trying every night for about 2 weeks, she finally got it and we have never looked back.
She is becoming a chatterbox - some of her words include Mama, Dada, Nana, PaPaw, Ashee (Aunt Ashley), cookie, night night, bye bye, dog and kitty. She is also learning animal sounds and has the monkey, cow, bird, duck and alligator down. She is so cute when she says "chomp, chomp" for the gator.
Harper does have one bad habit which doesn't make her mommy happy - she throws food on the floor if she doesn't want to eat it. We have tried lots of things to stop it, but haven't been successful yet. If you have suggestions, please let me know.
Harper (and her cousin Ava and BFF Kenley) got to experience something pretty amazing this month. They had a tea party with a baby zebra...how amazing is that?!? I have been waiting on the disc from the photographer to blog about it, but I don't have it yet and I couldn't talk about this month without mentioning the experience. So, I have hijacked some of the sneak peek photos from the photographers'
Facebook page and I had some other pictures my mom took as well. We also got to see miniature horses, llamas, alpacas, miniature donkeys and longhorns. What an great day!
What an amazing month - we look forward to more and more months with our little ball of energy!
Toodles!
